The Art of Story Telling to Children (Workshop)
Time & Location
About The Event
Almost all children love stories, rhymes and songs, but many find it difficult before school-age to sit very long and focus. The younger the child, the more creative and flexible a story telling session needs to be to harness a child’s energy. But age-appropriate story times for children can be rewarding and help to lay the foundation for a love of stories that will serve children well as they tackle reading and writing in school.
Planning, appropriate materials and simple activities are key to a successful story time for young children. This workshop will attempt to provide some basic strategies and materials. A booklet of suggested plans, songs, rhymes, crafts and resources will also be available for CHF 20. The booklet is optional and should be pre-ordered from Jeanne at firstname.lastname@example.org.
